While at Target during my lunch break, I saw a poor mom with four kids (three boys ranging from about two to six years old and an infant girl). The girl was screaming while two of the boys were fighting and throwing things off shelves.
In the situation I wanted to help somehow (although I'm not sure how--I just felt really bad for the mom); however, afterward all I could think was, "And that is one reason I only want one."
I may sound like a terrible person for thinking that...but I could not help it!
Re: Decision Confirmed
You aren't terrible. I feel that way all the time when I see a mom trying to wrangle multiple rowdy kids.
Hell I felt that way last weekend after having to hang out with my young nephews for a few hours.
Not terrible at all! I feel the same way.
What is it that sets us apart? The situation you described is one of the many reasons I don't want multiple children, and yet so many others look at that and still go ahead and have several more. &n
I often wonder "why would you do that to yourself"? My younger brother has 4 kids, 5 and under - he's not even 30 years old yet. I go to their house and it's pure chaos. Good for them that they wanted 4 kids, but I would go completely

I would have felt the same way...I see that and think "Thank God I just have one!!".
Hey, that was their choice to have several, now she can learn how to handle all of them.
