Hello, Lupron, my old friend ...

Firing up the old Lupron gun again tonight for the first time this cycle.

Nurse, calling today, asked, "Have you ever given yourself a subcutaneous injection before?" And then I laaaaaaaaaaughed...

No, I'm kidding, I know there are people who've given themselves way more shots than I have. But I am very familiar with Lupron and the headaches of death. Can't wait for that.

Otherwise, we're consented and medded and totally ready to go. The embryos made it safely from our old clinic to the new one. Mr. Scoop said they were given to him in a container that looked like an old-fashioned scuba diving helmet. Which sounded so awesome I wished I'd seen it. I'm certain he made many awful jokes upon delivery of the embryos, which I also would like to have seen.

You guys, I'm really doing this FET! Weird. Anyway, hugs to all you gals!

    This post made me smile. Except the part about headaches, of course. I'm glad that your embryos made it safe and sound and had YHs TLC to transport them in the scuba helmet container. Sounds like quite the adventu

     12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN 
    8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
    My ovaries are just for decoration

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Glad the transport went well and that things are underway!  FX that Lupron fools you this time and the headaches aren't as bad as in the past (one can hope, right?!).  Sending tons of good luck your way for this cycle!!!

    lol this made me think of my dr (not IF related) who asked me if I was scared of needles. I think my response was I eat them for breakfast and dinner ... lol

    DH on Clomid / Arimidex to address hormonal issues - Sperm found July 2011!
    IVF #1 September 2011 - ER 9/8/2011- 8R, 5M - icsi - 1 made it to transfer - BFFN :-(
    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!

    Good luck on this cycle!! Lol about the needles. I think I freaked a phlebotomist out when I said to her "it's ok, I get my blood drawn ALL the time." :)

    Lupron is the devil and the only good thing about never cycling again is I never have to meet up with lupron again... 

    I had to have blood drawn last week for a non-IF reason and the tech said "oh this might pinch for a second".  Yeah,

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    Feb'12- July'12-testing(all clear minus slight arcuate ute), 3 IUI with clomid all BFN
    8/30IVF#1 Antagonist protocol- ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F. 
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 Antagonist protocol plus baby aspirin- ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN

    Yup ill be on the lupron train in 10 days. Can't wait. So excited. Jumping up and down. Yay. I love headaches. Also bleeding profusely. And can't wear tampons. Just a LOVLEY pad!. Like I said so excited. Can't wait.lol

    Excited you are about to get the ball rolling again even if it does involve the lupron headaches.
    Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.
    3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
    PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls

    this will be my second cycle but first time with lupron. nervous but very excited. I have a jumbo pack of Tylenol by my side thanks for the heads up. good luck! !!!
    TTC Since 112010 Naturally. Diagnose:PCOS(ME) + Low Motility(HIM). Started IVF+ICSI Cycle 12312. ER 27 & ET 210 two embies transferred. *BFN 1ST IVF CYCLE.* **Getting as healthy as possible and will try IVFICSI#2 again hopefully in April.** -- HAVE FAITH; LET GO & LET GOD --
