I took DS to the Dr today because of a suspected cold he's had for a couple of days now. Turns out it wasn't a cold, he was diagnosed with early onset allergies.
We now have to follow up with his allergist to get to the bottom of what's causing his allergies. His pedi said it could be anything from pets to pollen or dustmytes to mold.
She then said I might want to reconsider a new home for my furbaby. Ugh. Im sorry but I will clean day in and day out before I just give up my dog that easily. Don't get me wrong my son comes first but my Sadie is my furbaby and she's more than just a dog.
It doesn't help that they no longer offer meds for allergies in children under 12mo old. Along with the fact that we live it Texas...the mother state of sporadic weather changes.
Anyway, if you read this semi pointless post, thanks. I think Im just a little overwhelmed with all the information I was given today. Now I need to get to dusting this house...

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I know you said you're going to be dusting and cleaning but you might want to think about getting your vents cleaned out too.

Sorry you're dealing with allergies, but I'm totally with you that I would never give up my dog that easily.
Growing up, my sister was diagnosed as allergic to cats, and we had a 15-year-old cat at the time. My parents just kept the cat out
I just wanted to add something. I noticed at my inlaws place where its just the one dog there, if DS1 doesn't touch her, hes fine to be in the house. They're really good about vacuuming and dusting regularly. Its when he pets her and
