I have to change my workout routine :(

I have a hernia and was going to get it taken care of yesterday but we are still waiting to see if insurance approves the surgery.  My surgeon said that in order to not make it worse while we are waiting for surgery I should not lift more than 10 lbs. Considering I can deadlift 60lbs, the weight lifting won't fit in my routine for awhile. I know if I just do cardio I'm gonna get really bored really fast.  what would be the next best thing to lifting weights?  Yoga maybe?

    I think having a varied routine will help keep the bordem away. 

    I swim laps and do water aerobics on tuesdays and thursdays

    jog and elliptical monday, wednesday and friday

    long dog walks or light hikes on saturdays
