Intro -- North Seattle, due 8/18

Hello all!

 I'm 27 and expecting our first (and probably only!) on August 18th. We're North of Seattle and only just moved here January 2012. We love it and I'm definitely excited that I'll be pregnant during a Washington summer and not the Tennessee summers I'm used to!

Mostly work, work, work, so I'm excited about this forum and an opportunity to get out of that mindset!

Anyway, we find out in 2 days if we're having a boy or girl (eeps!) and I can't wait for more updates!!!

Oh, and my name is Suzanne. :-)

    Hi Suzanne,

    I am not pregnant, but I am 26 and live in North Seattle.  It is a great area to raise a babe and there a lot of local resources.  Welcome to the group, and I am excited for your next ultrasound!

    Hi Suzanne, I'm Georgia. Welcome to the group! I've recently joined as well and I'm due on August 21, so we are close. :) I live in the Renton area. I'm a little jealous that you get to find out so soon, I have to wait until April 11th. :)

    Congrats on your pregnancy!!!

    I'm officially due 9-19 but i'm having twins, so doc says they'll probably be here by the end of august. we shall see. :) We find out next week what we're having, I'm SO excited!

     I'm excited about a girl or a boy!! My husband is leaning towards a boy, but that's mostly because he's stuck with me (girl), our dog (girl), and our cat (girl). He'll be happy and an awesome dad either way. :-)

    Georgia,

     No need to be jealous! Our wee one decided to be modest today and we couldn't get a peek to find out gender. We'll (hopefully) be able to find out in another 8 weeks!

    Are you hoping for a boy or girl?

     Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to it; my husband and I are planning to move (as right now we're in a 1 bedroom apartment!), but we're not sure if we're going to leave North Seattle or not. We'll see!

    Welcome!  Seattle summers i'm sure will be lovely compared to what you're accustomed to (but last one was weird, and this one is likely to be hotter).  My EDD is 9/24 and i'm in the south end.
