TTC question? your body

On the breastfeeding board someone wrote that you need to wait 18 months having giving birth for you body to fully recover before TTC again? Has anyone heard or been told anything like this? We are TTC next month and I mentioned it to my doctor and she didn't say anything about my body needing to recover. Any thougths?

I've heard to wait until 2 years to TTC for the same reason. And I think they stop being "babies" after 2.5yo. We aren't sure when we will be TTC.

My doctor was fine with me getting pregnant when my DD was 9 months old. No issues for me at all.

I've also heard two yrs. something with your hormones and body getting back to "normal" .

I'm trying now. I'm almost 36 and it took us 2 years to get this one. I'm not worried, I feel my body has recovered and I think the doc said one year was ok.

I've always heard that at least one year is best but my Dr was fine with us TTC after 9 months (I had a c-section). We're still not TTC yet but I wish we were.

My OB had her kids about 19 months apart from each other. . . so I assumed she'd be fine whenever I want to try again.  We'll probably start trying the summer (though not as actively as we did for current lo). I'd like my next baby to be a spring ba

I talked to my OB about it and she said whenever we wanted since I'm young and had a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy. She had 2u2 twice so obviously she doesn't follow the 1-2 year guidelines.

I've heard that 18 months is ideal.  We are older (I'll be 35 in September), so we aren't planning on waiting that long.
