Opinions/experiences on taking a month break

I woke up with some spotting, and have been crampy all day so I am assuming af is on the way. We've been trying for a year and a half, but only started clomid 3 cycles ago. The next plan is letrozole, trigger, and iui. I'm considering taking this next month "off" in the hopes of relaxing and easing up on the obsessing. I'd like to hear from anyone's personal experience if that is even possible? On one hand I can imagine myself being able to relax, but on the other hand I may just end up frustrated half way through because we wasted a month. TIA!

Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
 3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    TTC #3 (#1 for DH) since September 2011. DX: Unexplained infertility with possible cervical factor. May 2012 did clomid with IUI - BFN August 2012 IUI #2 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN September 2012 IUI #3 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN October 2012 IUI #4 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN November/December 2012 IVF/ICSI #1 Retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized. Transferred 1 beautiful embryo and 5 made it to freeze. Got my BFP! January 2013 u/s showed empty gestational sac. FET cycle April 2013.  Transferred 2 5 day embryos.  BFP!!!!!  2 heartbeats!!!!  EDD:  12/27/13

    When we have had breaks (voluntary or forced), I think it really helps my DH more than me to be honest. I always seem to have IF in the back of my mind and can't get away from it. But I will say it is nice to enjoy some time time with DH that isn't timed

    Personally, I prefer to just keep chugging along. As long as I feel like my body isn't my own due to dr's appts and meds, etc. I just want to keep going until we have success. If I know we're just going to go right back to treatment I don't really want

    DX: Low AMH 1.79 Mildly elevated FSH 9.9

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1

    I did that last year and it turned into almost a 6 month break. Although It wasn't really a break because we did still do OPK's and try to have sex during the fertile times. It was great to not stress about TTC for a while, but I absolutely hate that we w

    Thanks for your input, everyone. It was helpful hearing other's experiences. I talked to MH and we are going to take a medicated cycle break. We'll try minus the meds and opks. With my weak ovulation I don't think my hopes will be too high, which I think

    Breaks can be helpful to put things back into perspective. DH liked when we had breaks because that meant spontaneous bd and not on schedule... You can (TRY) to relax, enjoy each other and just see what happens? Sometimes relaxation is all you really need

    I have taken a few breaks but it is hard to really take a break.  when I took a break we still had sex but I didnt use OPK or birth control.  Our breaks were forced due to DH travel schedules.  At my age, almost 39.  I dont have time t
