Terrible experience at a movie!

I took the kids to see The Croods this afternoon and my two older kids got yelled at by middle aged women for rocking in their own seats. I asked my kids not to rock their chairs, and asked the women to tell me if there was another problem instead of yelling at my kids. Lexie started rocking again and one of them said," oh we're definitely going to have a problem here if you don't knock that off." What the heck? The first time I was nice, the 2nd time I told them the only problem we had was with grown women trying to pick a fight with children at a children's movie, and that if there was another issue that I would be happy to get a manager to sort it out. One woman got up and left after I said that, the other two stayed. None of them came with kids, my kids were in their own seats, not talking or anything, and FFS we were at a kid's movie on a Saturday afternoon! Please tell me these ladies were crazy azzholes because I'm still fuming mad over it!

  • She's lucky your kids weren't jumping around, yelling, and throwing food. Crazy old bitties. I hope you enjoyed your movie otherwise.

Ridiculous! I'm sure there were other seats for them to sit in if they had such a problem with your kids. What did

  • That waa super rude of them. They could have easily moved to a different seat or of not then they could have been nice and respectful.

  • I'm on your side here...

ds has some sensory issues and tends to always be moving.  We have never gone to a movie yet, but I would be pissed if we went to a children's movie in the afternoon and some woman were being like that.

~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

  • Where they crossed the line was when they were nasty to your kids to their faces. If they had a problem, they should have talked to you directly. How childish.

  • I totally agree with everything you said. Good for you for sticking up for your kids.  I can understand if they were actually doing something wrong, but they were rocking in chairs that were meant to rock?  The horror!!
