XP: between bath sizes??

Anyone else have this issue... Raylan has started scooching out of the whale tub and obviously I don't leave or let go of him for a second, but even so he almost got his head under water like 3 times last time he was in it because it's such a quick movement.  So I tried putting him in the big tub in a bath seat but it seems too big and he slouches way down in it...not safe either.  How do I bathe him??? Anyone else in this situation? Suggestions?

I am on mobile so I can't see how old DS is, but when DS1 outgrew his baby tub we moved him into the sink. Is that a possibility? We used the sink then until he was about a year probably...

We moved DD to the kitchen sink after the baby tub. But not until she could sit up.

We got a reclined bath seat from amazon I'll try to find it later. We put it in he regular tub and it helped the transition. Good luck!
