How do you know when your prefolds are prepped? I have GMD bleached. I read and now cant find that if you poor X amount and it absorbs you are set. But does that always take 5 to 10 wash cycles? Mine seem really absorbant after one wash and that seems wrong. Help! FTM FTCDing!!

I wash mine 3-5 times and they are prepped. Just wash and dry 3-5 times and your good. There is no exact science to it.

I have only ever washed and dried mine 3 times before I used them and they were fine.

If you use one and it doesn't leak, you have prepped it enough.

I usually do 2-3 washes like the others said.  Then I will use them around the house for a short amount of time.  That way they still get some use while I still continue to prep them!

I always boil mine for 20-30 mins then wash once or twice and dry.  Then put them into rotation.

I washed and dried mine three times. I swiped it under a small stream of water and it didn't repel at all. I figured they were done. I haven't used the yet, though.
