My 16 month old has never been a great napper and I'm sure it's my fault. She has never been able to sleep without being held and due to extreme exhaustion and hating to hear her cry, I often give in and hold her through her naps. The problem is, I can't keep doing this as some day I would like to have another baby! Does anyone have any ideas to help me get her to sleep in her crib for naps?! I have tried letting her cry for a while then going in and soothing her and then putting her right back down as well as putting her sound machine on that she uses at night. It seems like she will just stand in there and cry for hours if I let her. She does sleep in her crib at night and goes to bed with no problems and usually sleeps through the night for 10-11 hours.
