#1. I should have (and am glad I did) listen to everyone over on Parenting when I tried doing Ferber for naps and they all said he wasn't ready.
#2. He's ready and it's mag.nif.i.cient.
For the past two weeks, we've been basically doing Ferber without any real set times to check-in. I'd lay him down to nap, he'd cry, I'd go in whenever he lost his pacifier or to turn the seahorse back on. It was taking him around 30 minutes to finally go to sleep. He'd pretty much cry the entire time.
So, a few days ago I decided to just do set check-ins; 5, 10, and then 15 minutes. I've been doing it for two days. The first day, he fussed for about 15 minutes, no real tears. Yesterday, he went down for all naps with 5 minutes of crying. Today, down, rolled over on his stomach, and was down for the count.
