Cosleeping with toddler and newborn

My son sleeps in his own bed most of the time, but sometimes will move into our bed sometime in the middle of the night. When my daughter is born, we plan to start her out to sleep in her own place, but when she wakes up and we are already asleep, I know I'll just pull her into our bed. We have a queen. Just wondering about the safety/ logistics of having both kids in the bed, and what have others' experiences been like?

  • We have a king size bed, a 300lb daddy, skinny me, will have a 19 month old and a newborn. At the very least we're moving our toddler to a toddler mattress next to our bed. Possibly into her own room. I don't think I'd get any sleep because my 19 month is

  • DD1 is 2 and we are due with DD2 in June.  Our plan is to get a bed rail for DH's side of the bed.  DD2 will be in the ARCS or between me and the co-sleeper.  DD2 has her own room with a full size bed where I end up sleeping with her a lot-

  • We have a queen + crib sidecar. Baby sleeps next to me (partially in the bed and part in the sidecar). Toddler sleeps between DH and I.
