I bought a decent bottle of Chardonnay for tonight. I just went to go open it and the darn bottle opener broke off in the cork. The force of it breaking made me nudge my glass off the counter too. Now I am not getting to drink my fancy wine.
Use something like a screwdriver or even a pen and plunge the whole cork into the bottle. Then pour and enjoy. I've done this when sitting in the backseat of a car on the way to a concert and we forgot the cork screw.
First we had eachother.5.27.11
Then we had you.6.16.12
Now we have everything.
Can you push it down in the bottle somehow and then decant the wine? This happened to us the other day and I can't for the life of me remember what DH did to fix it. You could try sabering it.
I was having a tea party on the ceiling just laughing away and this story was so sad it made me crash to the floor You must get the wine out of the bottle!
