Teething and teething symptoms

DD is 6 months old and has officially started teething.  I am a new Mom and have never actually seen what a baby goes through while teething so some new symptoms that I was not prepared for have popped up....Any advice?

Diarrhea?  I never knew children who were teething did this.  DD is going sometimes every few hours or sometimes 3 or 4 times in a period of a couple of hours.  Is this normal?

 Biting down on something and pulling back?  I've never seen a baby do this either.  And when it happens to be yourfinger, it is not pleasant. 

Refusing to sleep?  I knew she would do this, but I didn't expect her to sleep for 15 minutes at a time and then cry the rest of the time. 

 

 Any advice would be appreciated.  :)

    I'm just a lurker here, but DS has been teething since he was 2.5 months old.

    Welcome to the wonderful long period of Teething! 

    Yeah all of that is normal though I don't know about the diarrhea.  That never happened with our LO. Don't even be surprised to see a little bl
