question for those that have used needles or shots

The last of my meds are finially here.  The 3ml syringe has a 22Gx1 1/2  needle on it already.  There is also a package of needles 23G 1 1/2.  Do I have to change the needles? Its for the progesterone.  I am confused...

I use 18g to draw the progesterone from the vial and change the needle to 22g for injecting. You should get instructions but if you question the shipment ask your nurse to confirm now so that new needles can get to you in time if there was an error.

Edwina is right.  Make sure you don't use the same needle to inject that you draw the med up with.  The higher the number on the needle the smaller the gauge.  You want to use the smaller gauge to inject.  I made that mistake and was i

Also, the needle you use to draw up meds gets dull so you always want to change it out before injecting unless your using prefilled injectables.
