Toddler Bed

I know this is far off, but...

The crib we are using for our daughter was a 'hand me down' from my sister in which she had bought for her first child. She is now pregnant and I feel as though I should give back the crib, although she hasn't asked me about it yet. My sister is due the beginning of October. Do you think that's to early for our LO's to go to a toddler bed? --My daughter is already very mobile so I feel like by that time she will manage to hop out of the crib anyways. I just wanted some input...Thanks!

  • We haven't talked about it much, but I figure I should atleast think about it if she does decide she wants it back for this new baby. Pack n' Play sounds like a good idea.... thanks :)

  • I'm in the "keep them contained as long as possible" camp. My DD1 is still in her crib. If I were you I'd buy a crib if necessary. If you plan on having more kids you'll need it eventually anyways.

But why not talk to your sister first?</P

  • DS1 was 13.5 months when he went to a twin bed. DS2 was 18mths old when he went to a twin bed. We skip the toddler bed b/c that just means one more transition later and you only would use it a short time so for us it seemed like a waste. We got twin be

  • if it were me, and you were ready to move on from the crib, I'd get a twin or full sized mattress and put it on the floor, or perhaps move on to a twin/full sized bed with a frame and get rails for one or both sides (depending on if you were putting it
