I'm pregnant with my first and have always planned to bedshare, but I do want to make sure that I'm doing so safely. I've done a lot of research but seemed to find conflicting information, so I figured I'd ask you all what worked best.
For the bed: Mattress on the floor and up against the wall? Does that include the box spring or do you remove that too? Or get a safety rail that attaches to the bed and leave the bed at normal height?
We have a mattress protector that doesn't allow liquids to get onto the actual mattress- do we need anything more than that to protect the bed?
Positioning: Mom in the middle, baby next to mom only? What position does mom sleep in? I typically sleep on my sides anyways- but I do switch back and forth throughout the night (more often now that I'm pregnant and my hips hurt). Will the act of turning over disturb the baby? Is it ever ok to have my back to her?
I will be EBF (unless there's a problem and I can't), so I figured I'd just sleep without a shirt/bra on to make it easier. Is there any reason to NOT do this? It will be warm enough that I won't need a blanket or anything.
TIA.

I slept on my side and DD side laying nursed. I usually sl
