Do Working Moms do confessions?

Because I have one and was hoping maybe someone can relate.

I'm not even a huge basketball fan but the Badger game was on when I went to lunch and I seriously thought about taking a half day of vacation and parking my butt at the bar with a pitcher of beer for the afternoon. How's that for some selfish mom/wife points?

 Finally realized that if DH did that I might get annoyed so here I am - hard at work.

My DH and I both took a half day during the World Cup - we met at a bar for the match, then went home afterward to let the nanny go at the usual time.  It was an awesome day date!

We're big into march madness. I run the office pool so I have been updating our white board as games end and collecting money. I couldn't leave yesterday at the right time because it was at the very end of the Gonzaga game and I couldn't tear myself away

This (or a variation of this) is a fantasy I have at least once a week.

Oh the freedom to sit at a bar having a couple of drinks, watching a game and making idle chit chat about nothing because you can.
