I drove down the block to my office about a week and a half afterward. I was only on motrin at that point and I felt really good. I wouldn't have left town or anything though.
My OB said I could drive as soon as I wasn't taking pain meds and felt comfortable enough to slam on the brakes if necessary. I could have driven around 2 weeks PP, but DS was born in the summer and DH is a teacher, so I didn't have to drive for abo
It probably really depends on your recovery. My recovery the first time was slow and I didn't drive until almost a month out. This time I drove easily at 12 days.
Twelve days after #1, two weeks after #2. I had easy recoveries, so at that point I was functional enough that driving seemed like it would be as manageable as everything else I was doing.

I was cleared to drive at 2 weeks, and even then it was painful at times.
