Trying to decide how many embryos to transfer. The RE said there was a slim chance of twins if we used 2 embryos. So I figured this would be a good place to ask.Has anyone here concieved twins with embryo transfer or egg donation? If so how many did you transfer???? Thanks
Re: were any of you egg or embryo transfers?
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
I am pregnant with twins after a 5 day - 2 embryo transfer.
Transferring 2 gave us 50% chance of pregnancy, 20% chance of twins. Transferring only 1 gave us 25% chance of pregnancy.
We are very excited that both took!Dx: balanced translocation and LPD
TTC since Oct 2011

After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
We transferred two five-day embryos. We were told that we had a 40-45% probability of the IVF working, and of that, a 25% probability of twins (I think...?). Our RE thought there was a good chance we'd end up with twins, and he would not let us transfe
All of my stats are in my siggy. I will say that for us the number we transferred was a function of embryo/blastocyst quality and what cycle we were on (IVF 1, 2, or 3). For example, IVF 1 we put in 3 on day 3, but they were all sh!t, like
Your are definitely going to get biased answers here since we all have multiples. PAIF is a great place to ask.
You have to talk to your RE and factor in - how many IVF's you have or are willing to try, what the embryo quality looks like, how man

Reading your sig, I wonder if maybe you meant to ask if anyone used donor eggs or donor embryos?
We used donor embryos. The couple was known to us; they offered, in fact. They had 5 good quality blasts left after a round of IVF for seconda

PAIF or SAIF Welcome
We transferred 3 embryos. The RE was very sure only one would take, if we were lucky. All 3 took.
Transfer as many as you are willing to carry. Carrying twins is higher risk, so research, research, research.
What my RE explained to us is that thanks to octo-mom there are now guidelines set for how many embryos can be transferred and it varies by the age of the egg donor (either yourself or a third party).
We used a third party donor, transferr
I was given a 60-80% chance of success with IVF and then 45-55% chance of twins. I transferred 2 5-day blasts and have fraternal twin girls.
I love them dearly and would not trade them for the world. I cannot even imagine just having one of
We transferred THREE embies- on day 3. Two excellent 8 cells and one good. We were ok with the thought of triplets or twins, we got twins. Given my age (39) and DH (42) and the fact we paid OOP and didn't want to do it again, is
