suggestions on favors

my bf sisters are hosting my shower. they asked me if i have a theme in mind. i had no clue that showers had themes. i said surprise me and also said to them do whatever you want, im not picky.

so i was thinking about past baby showers i have attended and was wondering do people still give out favors? if so, im thinking about edible ones. any suggestions? i dont want to do ceramic, soap, anything not edible because its just wasted money, im guilty of throwing those out, i dont want clutter in my house. lol thanks

Most of the showers I've been too have had favors, and almost always edible ones.  You could do cookies in a shape that coordinates with your theme or little bags of colored m and ms in colors that coordinate with your theme.

Most of the favors are small like cake pops or decorated cookies. Occasionally I"ll get a small mini picture frame or something that might be theme related. But the favors are usually chosen by the hosts, so I don't think you need to worry about it.

Well it aint exactly baby showerish but when I threw my Sister in Laws Bachelorette party I got High Heel wine bottle openers. They were a huge hit. I got them on Amazon. I know they ones that are more tame-heart shaped and such that might be more suit

I'm a big fan of edible favors.  We did jars Tupelo honey for our wedding (Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison was also our wedding song) and my mom got 8" pretzel rods dipped in chocolate with pink sprinkles for my baby shower.

My sister was seriously stressing about this one. She is hosting the shower for my friends. Everyone there knows I hate favors. She is giving a donation to the March of Dimes. I'm not sure what my MIL is doing. She hasn't asked my opinion -- alth

This may sound a bit ratcheet or tacky but lottery tickets. You know the 1 dollar or 2 dollar ones. You can give that out as a favor. Sounds very new I know but trust me they will be excited when that 1 dollar you payed gave them 20 dollars.
