Cloth Diapering

Using a pocket diaper as a swim diaper

I know this has been discussed a lot lately since everyone seems to be planning vacations.  Can you use a unstuffed pocket diaper or diaper cover (not sure if the PUL would be irritating to LO skin when wet) as a swim diaper?  If so, do you need to retire it from your stash and use it purely for swim?

  • yep! I'd use one you don't MIND retiring in case it delaminates from the chlorine. I used one 3 or 4 times last summer and the diaper wasn't ruined though! i just a cover, but after someone mentioned its kind of icky to have the PUL against their skin (wh

  • Apparently you can. I started using cloth swim diapers before I even started cloth diapering. From $10/diaper, I'd rather buy a dedicated swim diaper than use a more expensive pocket diaper.

  • Yes. I used my HH and Alva's as swim diapers. Way better than those other things. And this was before I even CDed full-time.
