Using a pocket diaper as a swim diaper

I know this has been discussed a lot lately since everyone seems to be planning vacations.  Can you use a unstuffed pocket diaper or diaper cover (not sure if the PUL would be irritating to LO skin when wet) as a swim diaper?  If so, do you need to retire it from your stash and use it purely for swim?

yep! I'd use one you don't MIND retiring in case it delaminates from the chlorine. I used one 3 or 4 times last summer and the diaper wasn't ruined though! i just a cover, but after someone mentioned its kind of icky to have the PUL against their skin (wh

Apparently you can. I started using cloth swim diapers before I even started cloth diapering. From $10/diaper, I'd rather buy a dedicated swim diaper than use a more expensive pocket diaper.

Yes. I used my HH and Alva's as swim diapers. Way better than those other things. And this was before I even CDed full-time.
