OHSS question..

So I ended up getting ohss after my injectable iui cycle.  I am so miserable and I know I don't have it bad like lots of you guys on here have.  I am worried that I have fluid in my lungs because I am short of breath, feel like I need to cough and sometimes do when sitting up, bending over, etc.  If I'm not propped up far enough when am laying down I feel like I'm wheezing.  I saw my RE since this started and they listened to my lungs and said they didn't hear anything.  They say its referred from all the excess fluid pressing on my diaphram.  But, I swear I feel like there is something there in my chest.  My waist/weight measurements have't changed since I was there and I seem to be peeing more.  They tell me to rest and have me off work.  Its hard to "rest" because no position is comfortable.

Should I push to have a chest xray or something more?  I have follow up appt on monday.  I don't want to look dumb for asking for one...does what I'm describing sound like something that would warrant this or do I just need to be patient? 

37yrs old. Married 9 yrs. TTC since 2010. Clomid with no monitoring. Dx with PCOS. Started with RE..3. HSG normal. Husband normal. 3 Failed IUI with letrazole, 1 cycle canceled with letrazole bc no follicle development. Took break...natural pregnancy...resulted in miscarriage@6wks, D&C. Currently(2013) started injectables(Menopur)&will do another IUI. Have been doing acupuncture weekly for 2 yrs. On metformin and supplements.

    I too got OHSS from injects this IUI cycle.  Mine wasn't nearly as bad as yours sounds and my doctor still wanted to see me right away.  I'd call and tell them about your difficulty breathing.  That is not something to take lightly!  D

    TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism. 
    BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI 
    2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d   
    D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.   
    Hysteroscopy to remove both 10/5
    IUI #5-7 50mg Clomid + trigger = BFN  
    IUI #8 Femara + Bravelle + HCG + Progesterone = BFP 3/27/13
    Beta 1 (13dpo) = 169  Beta 2 (17dpo) = 1073  No heartbeat at 9w3d. 
    D & C 5/10/13  Triploidy 69 (paternal inherited)
    IVF #1 with ICSI and PGS 11R 8M 5F 2 biopsied/frozen
    PGS results = 1 with trisomy 13 & 1 good embryo for FET 
    FET #1 EV, estrace, nitro patches.  Cancelled due to thin lining
    FET #1.2 oral estrace, f'ing nitro patches and no delestrogen.  Transfer 12/31. BFN
    PAIF/SAIF welcome
    Surprise BFP on 6/13/14  Our only unmedicated bfp ever.
    Beta #1 339  Beta #2 649 44 hour doubling time

    Hey thanks for the reply!  Sorry for you having too.  I have been drinking it like crazy and eating protein stuff and salty.  Just in the last day or so I have actually felt like eating though.  I am going to call them tomorrow again.&

    I break out in hives whenever I take extra estrogen.  Take Benadryl and see if it helps.  I was on it for two weeks straight after my D&E because of the estrogen cream and pills I had to take.  Mention the rash to your doctor too since

    Shortness of breath is a side effect of OHSS but I'd still call and mention your symptoms, you can never be too cafefull with OHSS. See if they can bump your appt from Monday to Friday.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
    JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN

    Thanks for the responses both of you I will mention to the doc about the rash and I am calling this morning as soon as they open!
