A was still a tiny little thing at his 18 month check up today. So he bought himself a referral to see a pediatric GI specialist. He is only 20 lb 11 oz and isn't even on the charts for weight. He is 30 1/4 in. which is in the 5th percentile. Because I have an issue with gluten, the pedi is worried A might have celiac. I really hope not! I know it is a possibility but was hoping he would get to eat normal food for at least a few years. So we see GI in three weeks and will wait to see what they say. Hopefully he will just be a small kid without anything wrong.

Re: GI referral
We were referred to the pedi GI at 15 months because DD2 had dropped to 2% for weight (from 12%). She gained only 9 oz from 12 months to 15 months, and weighed 18lbs 4oz at 15 months. She's always been small, so we were sure that's all it was, but pedi
