Weight Frustration

At DS's 2 week mark, he was over his birth weight and everyone was happy! Our hospital has a breastfeeding support group on Tuesdays and Thursdays for free. You go, get baby weighed, feed while hanging out with a couple lactation consultants and other sleep deprived moms who also all look like they just rolled out of bed, and then weigh again. DS was a superstar there, and then again at his 2 week peds appointment with the doc. Doc gave us permission to let him (and me) sleep a little more at night.

Today was so frustrating. Last week he was 8-1 and this week he was only 8 pounds even. So instead of gaining, we lost. So the LC said we should take away the sleep and go back to eating every 2 hours. I finally felt like I had some sanity back, and now poof it's gone. And we were going to start letting DH do a bottle once a day by pumping and she said we should wait a week and get this under control.

Why can't anything ever just WORK?! I am so frustrated and the last thing I want to do is host the crew of family who is coming over to watch March Madness/hang with the baby today. (Not really hosting, since they're bringing the food and everything, but they'll be here. Ya know)
