Any info on Surrogacy in NY?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction to become a surrogate in NY.  DH and I have completed our family and I am now looking to be a surrogate.  I've heard things from it is illegal in NY so it's a no go, to it's possible, but there is no "official agency".  Any info on "how to" and if there are any requirements that go along with it would be greatly appreciated... I'm so lost!

My understanding is that its legal to do as long as you are not compsentated with money.  It's illegal to get paid to be a surrogate in NY.
