Fri is my last day of work at current job. I have 5 sick days to burn or I will lose. I called in sick this past Mondaywent to the gym, ran errands and had a drs appt. A coworker saw me at the gym and told my mgr. In return, I rec'd an email my PTO was not approved.
Side story I offered to buy the team breakfast fri a.m.
Minutes after receiving the PTO email another member of mgmt asked if I could bring in breakfast Thur instead bc my mgr had Fri off and wanted breakfast burritos.
I was pissed and said breakfast was cxld. I'm not buying food for a co. that treats me like sh!t.
I have a drs note for Mondays absence. I arrived to work this a.m. And was told I'm no longer needed. Obviously, the sh!t storm of events and my unprofessional stmt yesterday helped aid this decision. So here I am angry bc I won't be paid for Fri and relieved I no longer work for this co. and can take a long wknd before starting my new job.
I have my exit interview today and list to discuss. Any words of advice?

Honestly, you're reaction was very unprofessional and I don't know that I'd really discuss this issue.
You were dealing w/ two different managers. Why didn't you go to manager 1 and show him the note before getting pissed? All he had

My advice - don't burn your bridges. Your exit interview covers all of the time you worked there, not just the past few days.
Your coworker is a jackhole.
I would limit the exit interview to the absolutely necessary info. Not worth burning bridges.
Yeah, be careful in the exit interview. What you say there is far more likely to hurt you than to impact any of the folks you leave behind. I understand the temptation, but the time to say your piece was when you were still an active employ

Seriously, what kind of snitch do you (almost formerly) work with. WTF?
I'm not sure how they can fire you without notice or wages in lieu without cause. Surely not bringing in breakfast one morning cannot be considered cause.
