Does Hattie sound like a good little sister for Lydia?  

 

(I know most people on here hate nicknames as full names, and in some cases, I agree.  However, my name is a name like Katherine (a name that has a very obvious nickname), and I hated that every single first day of school K through grad school, when people asked me, "Oh, do you go by Kate? Which do you prefer?"  I always said I didn't care.  This sounds dumb, but I was so shy, and I really dreaded that awkward stumbling.  I always said I wanted names for my kids that were just one name.)

I LOVE the name Hattie! Soooo adorable! That was going to be my niece's name, but then one of their good friends named their daughter Hadley, so they didn't want their daughter's name to be so similar. In my opinion, it's a perfect name!

I think it's cute, but... I went to school with a Hattie and she was on the chubby side so people called her Fattie so I would never in a million years use it.

I LOVE the name Hattie.  I didn't even know it was short for something else.  I know an adult Hattie and she is awesome! Smart, funny, beautiful and super down to earth.  If my last name didn't start with an H it would be in my short list f
