menopur??

clomid and femara havent been working so next step is menopur. Anyone have any advice for this? I am taking a class on how to inject it. Any side effects I should know about? Tips/tricks? Thank you

Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!

    My only advice is that when you actually inject the meds, go SLOW! It can tend to sting or burn on the way in, but a slow injection will help with that.

    IVF # 2 Stims 5/10 ER 5/21 (15R, 13M, 13F, 2T, 7F- 6d3 & 1d5) :: Beta # 1- 15 c/p @ 4w
    FET #2 Cancelled, Right Tube Developed a Hydro  8/28 Hydro & Scar Tissue Removed  Cleared for FET
    FET #2.2 Scheduled for September 20th
    2 Thawed, 2 Transferred! Beta #1- 96, Beta #2 906! :: EDD June 10th
    2015- 2 failed FET. We are done
    SURPRISE! BFP 8/8/16   EDD 4/1/17

    I just started menopur on Monday. The injections aren't too bad. I agree with pp if you inject it too quickly it definitely burns. We are hoping to do our 4th iui this cycle but it will depend on how I respond to menopur. Last cycle I used follistim and h

    I really don't have any side effects from Menopur, which is awesome! Hopefully you'll have the same thing! And I agree with the slow injection! And if you have to mix bottles at all, just be careful! I practiced with the needles and syringes with water fo

    i used it in conjunction with bravelle and did experience hot flashes but i cant say which medication caused it. BTW, the manufacturer of menopur had a great video on their website if you need a reminder for your injection procedure.
