Hypnobirthing or Bradley Method?

I am going to order one of these books on amazon. What are the major differences between the two? I will have my FI, mom, and BFF in the room with me if that helps any. Thank you!

We did the Bradley method and loved it.  It is focused on teaching your H/SO/mom how to be a great coach in L&D.  Having a supportive coach/environment is a big factor in having a positive birth experience in general and a natural birth.&nbs

My mom is 100% for natural birth. She had one with my brother but an emergency c-section with me. She keeps telling me how proud she is of me for my choices. My BFF did have an epidural with both of her kids, but both times it didn't take. So she knows it

Hypnobirthing is not meant to be a self-study class, so if you aren't planning to take the class then I would recommend Bradley.

For what it's worth, I did Hypnobirthing and had a wonderful experience, but the book alone would not have been enoug

Can't speak on hypnobirthing from experience, but when we were looking at options, I felt that it seemed more in the mind frame of trying to control the birthing process where Bradley was about letting go of any thoughts of control and just let what happe

I'm doing hypnobirthing and am very excited about it.  I have to disagree with some of the statements made by pp about it.  Hypnobirthing isn't about "disassociating" with your birth or trying to control it.  It actually talks a lot
