I took a test this morning as I was supposed to go out for drinks tonight with some co-workers and thought I should check - my period is due tomorrow. I didn't think I would be because I had recently found out I had a few large cysts on my ovaries and my doctor said they were probably blocking the eggs from being released... I had just scheduled surgery for April 1. But lo and behold - a positive HPT!! We have been trying for about 8 months and found out about the cysts 2 months ago when my doc scheduled an U/S to prepare for the IUI he wanted to do.
My husband travels for work during the week and was working on changing his schedule around so he could be here for the surgery, so I called him this morning to tell him not to bother! I think he's in total shock!
Needless to say I am super excited - I am 39 and this is my first.
Now I just need to figure out how to get my head back in the game and concentrate at work today!!!
