Coworker vent

I really like my coworker, but for this one tiny thing:

Rather than say enter, as in "I entered the information into the computer," she says, "I inputted the information ..." She just sent me an email not only pawning some work off on me she should have done herself, she used 'input' instead of 'enter.'

I know a lot of people use input for some reason, and I am not sure why it bothers me SO much.

Sorry, had to "output" that off my chest.

"inputted" does.  I know it's a real word, but it sounds wrong.
