This group is open to anyone who has Diminished Ovarian Reserve or Premature Ovarian Failure (sometimes also called Primary Ovarian Insufficiency ? POI). 

 

This check-in will be posted each Wednesday.  If you?d like to be added to this group, please reply to this message, and I?ll make sure to add you for next week.  Welcome to the lurkers!  We know this can be a difficult journey, but we welcome you with open arms.  Let us know if we can answer any questions.

Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process?

 

QOTW (from a member): I thought of a QOTW for next week. Since there are so many ladies on this thread who have Normal FSH's and Low AMH's, has anyone's RE given them an explanation for this discrepancy?  Theoretically, a low AMH should correspond with a High FSH.  But for alot of us, that doesn't seem to be the case. 

On another board, a poster said that their RE's theory was that Low AMH in the absence of a High FSH meant there was a recruitment issue. However, I have not been able to find any support for this anywhere in the academic literature...or anywhere on the world wide web.

My FSH has always been high so I don't fit the question. First FSH was 12.1 and AMH was 0.92.  By the end of that year, FSH was 24 and AMH was 0.3.  I haven't had AMH tested since 12/11 and I'm sure it is non-detectable now.  My FSH reading

The only thing going on here is my new shipment of meds arrived yesterday: 5 gonal f pens, 24 vials of Menopur, Lupron, and HgH. Still also adjusting to my low carb, high protein diet my RE recommended. I miss my carbs!
