or is it required/common ? The reason I ask is once my blood work came back OK no N/T scan was set up. But I see posts on here about them all of the time and now I'm wondering if there are other reasons to have one.

I'm 34 and my doctor suggested I consider it. My insurance covers it so I'm having one.
Optional test. I plan on having it done and did for #1.
The one thing to consider is that the NT scan does not give you a yes or no answer. It will say that your baby has a 1 in x odds that it has a problem.
Now if you come out at high risk
