Stay dry liners?

Any suggestions for what kind of material to use if I want to make my own liners to use with prefolds? 

I have read "fleece" but does it matter what kind? Any  other suggestions?

Yep, fleece, plain old, get the cheapest you can, fleece.  I went to the discount rack at Joann's and got WAY more than I need for a under $5, so I probably only needed to spend $1.

It's micro fleece. Its also made from polyester like pp called "regular fleece". Which she likely means polar fleece.
