Toddlers: 24 Months+

Waaayy too video monitor dependent!

So our video finally died right before we transitioned DD to a big girl bed.  At first the screen had lines on it.  Then you couldn't see half the screen, now the whole thing is just white.  It's basically an audio monitor now.  It's killing me not to be able to see what she's doing when she's roaming the room.  I could go out and buy a new one but I don't want to spend the $ and she's almost 3.  I mean, really...if I don't give up the habit now....

But I still just want to see what she's doing.  It's like the video monitor was my drug and now I want more!!!

Re: Waaayy too video monitor dependent!

  • We never had a video monitor and I tell DH all the time that I think we'd need it more now then we did when she was an infant. Since she is in a toddler bed, I want to make sure she isn't climbing on furniture and such. I say, "feed the addiction."

  • We bought a second camera for baby #2.  We just moved my son into a big bed and now that he has free range of his room I like it more then ever.  Plus when he wakes in the morning he's quiet and I wouldn't know when he's awake or sleeping.&nb

  • I hear ya!  We had one since DD moved to her own room when she was 6 months old.  I honestly don't know how people lived without these things.   Worth their weight in gold!  We recently bought an additional camera for when DS moves int
