How much is it going to suck?

To transition from the rock n play to the crib? Currently, he will only sleep on a flat surface on his stomach. So, at night he sleeps swaddled in the rock n play and he sleeps really well (only wakes up once to eat for like 5 min and goes right back to sleep).

I'm I setting myself up for failure later? Any tips for the transition? When should I start?

  • Can you prop the crib mattress up a bit so he's not laying totally flat? Still swaddle him, and lay him in his crib for naps before you try to do a whole night so that he has time to get used to it.

  • That's what we're doing.  Getting her used to the crib by making her nap there during the day.  It's not an easy transition. She wakes up more.  BUT it's getting better every day.
  • I just rolled up a few receiving blankets and stuck them under the crib. It's not at a steep incline, just a little elevated.
