I love to cosleep with my DD 16 weeks. She's been sleeping terribly the last few night so last night I kept her in bed with me and we both slept so well. We co slept/bed shared with our first too. However, in the last 2yrs I've had two friends lose their LO's to SIDS, so now I can't get it off my mind. I'm hoping maybe you ladies will ease my mind! Right now DD wears a Snuza so that helps me feel a little bit better. When we cosleep I either have my arm under her neck and she sleeps under my chin/cuddled into my chest/neck or when I nurse I just lay her flat beside me. Obviously I keep blankets at my waist and wear fitted tees. I guess I just worry she'll snuggle in so close she'll smother herself against me or I'll have my face too close to hers and she'll 'rebreathe' my breathe, does that make sense?
I'm sure I sound crazy right now but SIDS scary the *** out of me! Hoping you ladies help me chill out a bit ;

SIDS and rolling over on a baby are two totally different things. SIDS is sudden infant death syndrome that cannot be explained by any thing while suffocation is obviously a separate thing.

Oh my! That is so awful that your friends went through that! I can't imagine how you feel, SIDS is terrifying enough without knowing someone whose child died of it. My heart goes out to all of you guys.
