tubes in ears

My son has had three ear infections since beginning of January. We saw an ent, and he had another one today. Both ears every time. The doctor suggested tubes due to his fluid and pressure. He also said we could come back in a few weeks too to see how they look then. Please share tube experiences. Reasons you did or didn't? Thanks.

Ben had them at 7 months. Very easy to do and best thing I ever did. It's only been two months since but such a big difference.

my son is almost 16 months and has had four in the past five months. we just saw an ent but decided to hold off. his last one has been clear for almost a month now, and with winter nearly over we're hoping we've seen the last of them. the ent recommended
