Another nap update

Hard to believe the last time I gave an update on M's naps was 10 days ago. Time flies!

Quick recap: M started fighting naps ~ 5w ago. Making it extremely difficult to bounce/rock him to sleep, and when he did, he was napping 20 minutes only.

We ended up doing sleep training using Ferber method. That went fairly well. After about a week, M got the hang of falling asleep on his own at night. It was then I started doing nap training once a day.

In my last update 10 days ago, M was able to fall asleep on his own for naps (takes about 5-10 minutes), and his naps were 30 minutes long.

Since then, M's naps have gotten longer. For almost a week, his naps were 45 minutes long, which is 1 sleep cycle. I immediately notice that he's much happier when he completes the cycle, even though it's only an extra 15 minutes.

Then for the last few days, he actually took one long nap a day in the crib, lasting anywhere between 1.5 hrs to as long as 2.25 hours! He also finally got used to sleeping on his tummy and no longer complains.

I don't know if it was the sleep training that helped M to nap better, or if it was just a matter of time. All I can say is that M is so much happier these days and so am I. I was having so much stress and anxiety when he was fighting naps; now I find myself having fun with M everyday!
