Can we talk tantrums and redirection?

LO got really mad that I wouldnt let him play in our little trash can today. He reached up, so I get him and the little turd bit me so hard! I totally have a ring of baby teeth marks on my cheek.

I tapped his chin twice and told him "no no. Be soft with mom." I then put him down to play by himself because he made me so mad.

How do you handle your LOs when they are less than little angels?

I was going to post about biting as well.. DS has been biting me and then will look at me with a mischevous grin... I say no sternly and put him down. So far he does stop when I say no in a stern voice...

My LO used to bite me too and I said no and pointed my finger and said we dont' bite other people.  She has not done it in quite a long time.  I think part of it was teething related as well when her front teeth were coming in.

No advice on the biting, but for tantrums in general we just ignore them. If she's touching something she's not allowed to I will move her away from it and give her something else. If she cries about it, oh well. She has to learn sooner or later.
