Toys for airplane?

So, we are going to see MIL for Easter, and it will be PJ's first plane trip.  I bought some new board books...one with the lift flaps and one touchy-feely.  I also got some toddler headphones and put Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sesame Street onto my iPad.

Does anyone have any recommendations for smallish toys that don't have a bunch of pieces that I can also put in his carry-on?

Re: Toys for airplane?

  • We flew today and Landon didn't play with any of the toys I brought! He played with my cell phone the entire time.  He also just played with random things.  I think next time I won't even bother bringing him real toys.

  • Last time we flew I bought some new toys, so they were some what exciting- you know for a whole 2 minutes. He really likes those little people cars, I also made him a couple sensory bottles.

The biggest trick was to have a lot of different snacks

  • Thanks for the tips!  I'll make sure to have a lot of snacks.

We do have those keys, and he does love them!

And, I am bringing my ipad, so hopefully that will be good for him!

  • I flew recently from NY to Oregon and was next to someone with a toddler and she was so good. I noticed that they had lots of different snacks for her and books. They let let stand between their legs too and she would look at the books on their lap. Good
