Nursery

I am just wondering does anyone  else have a nursery set up even though they are still ttc? My husband and I have a nursery started. We have lots of gender neutral items, lots of clothes and a crib and bassinet and little stuffed animals and stuff.... anyway my mother in law thinks that it is totally weird that we keep buying stuff for a baby we have yet to conceive. What are your thoughts?

    I have the theme picked out but we don't have much, just the bassinet and bathtub (brother sold to us because nephew didn't end up using). We don't plan on buying the crib until BFP is achieved.

    no-  I don't buy anything- I am not superstitious but why have the physical reminder that I may not get pregnant.  I do have a secret Pinterest board I pin nursery ideas and kids stuff too.  Also this might go over better on the TTC board..

    Sono- TWINS!!!!

    No.  We painted a bedroom yellow when we first bought our house though.  We were very newly into TTC at the time.  almost 2.5 years later, its just an empty yellow room.  On bad days, I need to close the door.

    (plus synthroid, metformin, baby asa, metanx, PNV, Vit E, D, calcium, fish oil, CoQ10, IVIg infusions and lovenox per Dr. Kwak-kim)
    ER 7/19 14R, 11M, 9F(4 natural fert, 5 with ICSI)
    ET 5dt 7/24 2 fully expanded blasts.  SURPRISE 3 FROSTIES!!!

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    No, we do not have a nursery.  And thank goodness because we've now been TTC for three years and nine months.  I can't imagine having a whole room to avoid for that long.  We do have a changing table in my guest bedroom, but it's just nice

    I started buying baby stuff 3 yrs ago and about 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago i stopped because we werent getting pregnat as easy as we had hoped and now its all in a big bag down stairs where i dont have to see it. its a tough reminder that we are not pregnat

    The only thing I have is a little baby blanket that I saw at a garage sale for a quarter so I figured: why not?  If we never get pregnant I'm only out 25 cents and I can always use it as a rag or something.  Or give it to my dogs.

    I have lots of onsies, but buying anything bigger than that would be way too depressing. All the onesies are for babies size 3+ months up. I mostly buy them from the thrift store because lots of name brand baby clothes are hidden in there, but I've found
    TTC my #1 with PCOS since June 2010.
    Countless Clomid&Femara Cycles.
    Feb. 2014-April 2015=AF arrived on time.

    Definitely NO nursery set up.  Its already been a year and a half and if it takes longer I couldn't look at that room every day.  That said, I do a have a few outfits that we bought ramdomly on clearance while shopping for other people's babies.

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28

    I feel like a weirdo too but we have been trying to have a baby for so long I just felt like I wanted to start a nursery like a "If you build it they will come" kind of thing lol

    OP, are you over 35? Do you have a diagnosed IF problem?

    If not, then you need to stay on TTGP. 3T is not the board for you.

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3
