how do you pump?
For a certain number of minutes?
Until you have a certain number of ounces?
Until your milk slows down?
Until your milk stops?
Or just until you are annoyed by the humming of the machine? :
just wondering if there is a "correct" way to do it, if not what most people

Until you have a certain number of ounces? When I am at work, yes. i pump enough to cover one feeding or just a little more.
Until your milk slows down? My milk seems to never
15-20 minutes. 20 if it's been a little longer between pumps or if I feel really full. 15 otherwise.
The humming of the machine annoys my husband more than me. It doesn't even bother me anymore.
I generally pump for time. I pump for at least 15 minutes except for first thing in the morning. I only pump for 5 to 10 because I feed DS 45 minutes to an hour after that pumping session, so I don't want to empty the breasts.
At work, I leave
