Lack of sleep and hormones. As I sit here at 4:30 am after being up for two hours with DD having a nursing session that ended with both of us crying. She would eat, seem like she was done, then cry again of I tried to get her to sleep, eat some more, seem finished, then cry, etc. and she'd scream anytime I tried to put her on the right side. DH ended up taking her downstairs where she then fell asleep almost immediately for him. DD is a pretty easy going baby, but it's times like these that just get so frustrating and also make me feel like I can't do what I should be able to do. Sigh. Now to try and get some sleep...

When you are the sole provider for food, I have a 1 1/2 hour rule... If LO is fighting sleep in the middle of the night after a feeding, then he gets passed onto DH. My son also likes to comfort suck, so pacis are our best friends!

My boyfriend is the fricken baby whisperer. I can never get DD to relax when she's having a meltdown, but I pass her to him and she's quiet and asleep within seconds. Then I bawl my eyes out.
