Multiple days of spotting and OPKs

I have been spotting for 13 days before my period. My period lasts 8 days. This started 7 months ago.  My RE hasn't been able to tell me why.  He says I don't have PCOS.  He says it is possible that the scar tissue on my uterine wall could cause spotting, if the flo collects on the scar tissue and then trickles down.  I have surgery scheduled in April to remove the scar tissue.

 I also get 5 days of positive OPKs.  My chart seems to indicate ovulation on the second or third day of OPKs, because my temp goes way up and stays up after that.  I wish I could figure out how to post my Chart but I use the My Cycles app and I have had no luck. I've read the pee on a stick explanation that it may be that the egg is having trouble getting out of the starting gate so the body tries again.  But, this is not a satisfying answer for some reason.
