Stripping membranes

I'm having my membranes stripped at my appt on Tuesday.
Feedback moms; has it worked for you? If so how long till labor started?
How uncomfortable was it?

I had mine stripped 2 weeks ago due to high blood pressure and baby's still cooking. It was uncomfortable, but I wouldn't call it painful.

My due date was March 22nd, had not been dilated but my doc said my cervix was thin and baby was low. Went in Friday @ 39 weeks and she very briefly stripped my my membranes and got me to 1 cm dilation. I started having contractions friday night at 10:30

At my 38 week appt my NP tried it and it didn't work. I thought it was pretty uncomfortable, but I am wanting my DR to try again tomorrow.  I'll do pretty much anything to get things going. It worked for DD, my water broke 9 hours later. Really hopin
