My son is 3.25 years old. We started potty training last May. He hasn't had an a pee accident since September, in fact, he even gets up at night to go pee on his own! However, we are having almost no luck getting him to poo on the toilet.
He never poos in his pants a daycare. He always waits until he is at home to poo in his underwear. He always sneaks off to hide, usually under a table, or sometimes he makes himself what we refer to as a "poo fort". I know he's probably pooing when all of a sudden it's all quiet, but by the time I get to him, it's too late.
He's pooed on the toilet a handful of times, but generally he freaks out when you try to make him go to the toilet to poo (if I do happen to catch him about to poo while hiding).
We've tried bribing him with treats/toys, but it hasn't worked.
Any suggestions?
