Babies: 9 - 12 Months

10 month old - early waking?

Hi - our 10 month old has suddenly started waking around 5:30 in the morning, and this morning it was 4:40 AM!  He usually sleeps until 6/6:30.  Has anyone else had this happen?  I tried feeding him this morning at 4:40AM and laying him back in the crib and it did not work - he was up and ready to go.  His naps are suffering, too, because of the super-early wake-up.  I feel like I can't get him on any kind of consistent schedule.  Any advice?

I wish I had advice.  We do find that, unless he is sick or

  • The hard part for me is not knowing if he is waking because he is hungry or another reason.  His last feeding is 6:30PM so I do wonder if by 5AM he is hungry, and then of course I feel bad about letting him cry in his crib if he's really hungry.&n
